How a business name number is calculated

Each letter of the name maps to a number, and the whole name reduces to a single root.

1. Write the business name and place each letter over its number: A is 1, B is 2, on through I as 9, then J begins again at 1, and so on.
2. Add the numbers of all the letters together (most read the name as it is commonly written).
3. Reduce the total to a single digit by adding its digits.
4. Keep 11, 22 or 33 if the total lands on one - these master numbers are not reduced.
